Lead Carpenter / Construction Foreman

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM start time, 10-hour shifts

Overtime: 50+ Hours per Week

We're seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter / Foreman to join our growing team. This individual will lead crews in performing a wide variety of carpentry and construction projects while ensuring quality workmanship, safety, and productivity on every job site. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, solid carpentry experience, and a willingness to learn our processes and company approach to project execution. We're looking for someone who can lead by example, develop team members, and help drive successful project outcomes.

• Lead and supervise carpentry crews on residential, commercial, and agricultural construction projects
• Coordinate daily work activities to ensure projects remain on schedule
• Perform and oversee rough and finish carpentry work
• Ensure job site safety, quality standards, and productivity expectations are met
• Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, subcontractors, and team members
• Train and mentor carpenters and laborers
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Travel to various project locations as needed

• 4+ years of general carpentry experience
• Experience with both rough and finish carpentry
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Willingness and ability to obtain a CDL (company assistance provided)
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical construction tasks
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time

• Siding repair and installation
• Roofing repair
• Window and door installation/service
• Hardware installation
• Interior and exterior trim work
• General building maintenance and repairs

• Sheet metal experience
• Pole barn construction experience
• Structural steel experience
• Steel stud framing experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Watertown, SD.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
