SHIPPING TECHNICIAN - II

Responsibilities Operate Mi-Jack, overhead crane, forklift or yard switcher to unload production units from trailers and putaway on the ground locations Operate Mi-Jack, overhead crane, forklift or yard switcher to load units on trailers Give direction to spotter in regards of location of rigging points to shackle units Support with forklift operation as needed Support Mi-Jack operation as ground support as needed, spot and shackle Support shipping operation as needed Help coordinate truck traffic as needed for efficient loading Enter transactions on scanner for unit moves Help forklift drivers to clear units from dock, remove, collect and organize casters on carts Maintain an organized workspace, clean area and pick up debris Other support activities as indicated by supervisor Requirements Highschool diploma or equivalent Ability to operate multiple shipping equipment Ability to work outdoors on different types of weather Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, squatting Ability to climb up and down crane ladder Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions Good sense of distance Ability to operate a forklift Availability to work long hours and weekends when necessary Customer and goal oriented Safety oriented Experience / Qualifications Ability to safely operate crane/hoist equipment. Assemble components using various hand and power tools according to specifications. Ability to read operating procedures and safety materials.
