Registered Nurse (RN) Women's Health Center
Are you an experienced Women's Health, OB, or Labor & Delivery RN looking for a schedule that offers work-life balance without leaving the specialty you love? The Women's Health Center at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our outpatient obstetrical and gynecological team.
This position is best suited for RNs with experience in:
- Women's Health
- Labor & Delivery
- Obstetrics
- Antepartum Care
Candidates should be comfortable performing and interpreting Non-Stress Tests (NSTs), monitoring fetal well-being, providing patient education, and supporting positive maternal and fetal outcomes.
As part of our multidisciplinary team of obstetricians, gynecologists, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, nurses, and support staff, you'll help provide comprehensive, compassionate care focused on the physical and emotional well-being of women throughout every stage of life.
Location: Women's Health Center 133-03 Jamaica Avenue Queens, NY 11418
Schedule: Monday-Friday: 10:00 AM 6:30 PM Alternate Saturdays: 9:00 AM 5:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to obstetrical and women's health patients.
- Perform patient assessments and participate in continuity of care.
- Conduct and interpret Fetal Non-Stress Tests (NSTs).
- Monitor fetal well-being and identify potential concerns.
- Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care.
- Educate patients regarding pregnancy, postpartum care, newborn care, breastfeeding, contraception, menopause, breast health, cardiovascular health, and stroke prevention.
- Provide breastfeeding education and support.
- Assist in the care of high-risk antepartum patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, and other members of the healthcare team.
Requirements:
Required Current New York State Registered Nurse License and Registration. Current BLS Certification. Current NRP Certification. Demonstrated competency in NST interpretation and fetal surveillance. Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience in: Women's Health in Labor & Delivery, Obstetrics or Antepartum Care Preferred BSN Degree. Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification or related experience. Experience caring for high-risk obstetrical patients. Compensation & Benefits $58.21 per hour Plus: Shift Differentials Full 1199 Union Benefits Medical Coverage Pension Paid Time Off Additional Union Benefits
