Shift: Nights Hours: Nights Job Summary 7 East is a fast paced 25 bed, progressive care telemetry/stroke/trauma unit, serving the adult population with multiple comorbidities along with acute cardiac, neurologic, neurosurgical and trauma related diagnosis. We are the only non-ICU unit in the hospital with the capability of caring for patients with stroke like signs/symptoms. Staff are trained to care for patients with complex IV drips requiring constant telemetry monitoring, assessing stroke patients using the NIH stroke scale (our unit has helped Penn State Health Holy Spirit become a Gold plus elite honor roll stroke center), and caring for multiple system trauma patients. Under direction of a Registered Nurse, contributes to the basic patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patient. Actual job tasks may vary depending on the unit or department assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification If chosen for this position, you may be required to pass a Post Offer Employment Physical Exam in accordance with the measurements listed in the Work Task Analysis (WTA) report.
