The role provides input into project plans, estimates, schedules, technical design, and development methodology for cross-functional software products. The Senior Software Engineer designs and develops software solutions across multiple systems, applications, and services. This includes analyzing business and technical requirements, building secure and maintainable solutions, supporting system integrations, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing to long-term improvements. About the Team: This role also mentors junior team members, participates in code reviews, works closely with Agile teams and business stakeholders, and translates user or customer needs into practical technical solutions. Required Qualifications: 10+ years of professional software development experience. Strong hands‑on knowledge of Java and Spring Boot. Solid understanding of web application development, REST APIs, and microservices architecture. Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Working knowledge of SQL Server and relational database concepts. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Proficiency with Git, code reviews, and modern source control practices. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and deployment processes. Knowledge of Docker and container‑based application delivery. Strong understanding of Agile software delivery. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across application, database, integration, and infrastructure layers. Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non‑technical teams. Ability to mentor other developers and provide technical guidance. Ability to use approved AI tools effectively while validating all AI‑generated output for quality, security, and correctness. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Angular or similar modern front‑end framework. Knowledge of TypeScript. Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration. Understanding of observability, structured logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks. Understanding of secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation. Prior work on legacy modernization, high‑availability systems, or transaction‑heavy applications. Technical Skills: Required: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, web development, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL Server, Git, CI/CD, Docker, cloud platforms, Agile, approved AI‑assisted development tools. Preferred: Angular, TypeScript, Kubernetes, observability tools, automated testing, security scanning tools. Compensation: U.S. National Base Pay Range: $95,300 - $158,800.
