We just partnered with a local, growing company that's looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join their team. If you know your way around diesel engines and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this could be a great opportunity.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks and heavy equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other components.
• Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and shop equipment to get the job done right.
• Read and understand service manuals, schematics, and repair information.
• Keep accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
• Communicate with management and operations when equipment needs attention.
• Keep the shop and work area clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Work efficiently to keep equipment up and running.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Competencies:

• Solid knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
• Ability to diagnose problems and get equipment back on the road.
• Good understanding of preventative maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• ASE certification and/or CDL is a plus.
• Diesel or heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
