Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments, including health evaluations and extensive reviews of medical histories
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by analyzing imaging studies and lab tests
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons in formulating and executing tailored surgical treatment plans
• Provide intraoperative assistance, including preparation of surgical rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments during procedures
• Offer high-quality pre- and post-operative care, managing medication administration, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education initiatives

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations focused on surgery is highly preferred

Necessary Certifications

• Valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification essential
• State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant
