This is neither an instructional coaching position nor a traditional teaching role. You won't dedicate time to lesson plan reviews or lecture observations because those don't exist here. Instead, your focus will be building a culture of excellence through Guide coaching, facilitating dynamic life skills workshops, and inspiring students toward ambitious objectives. Performance will be evaluated based on student experience quality, team effectiveness, and your capacity to uphold rigorous standards while motivating others to reach them. What You Will Be Doing Mentoring Guides to reliably provide outstanding student experiences while upholding Alpha's rigorous standards. Facilitating dynamic life skills workshops that build communication, leadership, concentration, and other practical competencies for K-12 students. Inspiring students to pursue ambitious learning objectives and optimize progress within their self-directed academic programs. Leveraging data, direct observation, and coaching dialogues to enhance Guide performance and student results. Supporting the launch and establishment of new Alpha campuses by cultivating a culture rooted in excellence, accountability, and ongoing improvement. What You Won’t Be Doing Conducting traditional academic classes or delivering content-specific lectures. Developing lesson plans or creating curriculum materials. Reducing standards to provide students with artificial feelings of success rather than supporting genuine mastery. Leading a team remotely from an office without direct, regular coaching engagement with students and Guides. Maintaining outdated methods simply because "that's the way it's always been done." Youth Program Manager Key Responsibilities Guarantee that every student consistently receives Alpha's three promises by developing high-performing Guides, facilitating compelling life skills experiences, and upholding rigorous standards for student achievement. Basic Requirements Willingness to work on-site at an Alpha campus (relocation assistance available): Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Miami, FL; Miami Beach, FL; Boston, MA; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Orange County, CA; Santa Barbara, CA Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. At least 5 years of experience in education, coaching, learning and development, or a related leadership role. Experience leading and developing teams of five or more people. Demonstrated success using data to drive performance improvements. Experience working with children ages 5-14 in an educational, coaching, or developmental setting. Experience building or launching a new team, program, business, school, or initiative. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Nice-to-have Requirements Experience coaching youth through athletics, debate, camps, or extracurricular programs. Exceptional public speaking and storytelling skills. A track record of achieving high levels of academic, professional, or athletic performance. Experience motivating teams through ambitious goals while maintaining high accountability. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record.
