Project Manager (Contract)

PETERMAYER is an independent, integrated ad agency located in New Orleans, LA. We’re looking for a Project Manager to keep the work moving — someone who thrives on building and holding timelines, running organized meetings, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. This role sits at the operational heart of our studio, working closely with our Director of Project Management to support delivery across a wide range of client engagements. Duties Day-to-Day Project Ownership Own project intake from brief or kick‑off through final delivery, ensuring nothing stalls without a clear next step Build and maintain detailed project timelines, proactively flagging risks before they become delays Manage delivery milestones and keep all relevant stakeholders informed of status at every stage Run and document internal project meetings, following up on action items and decisions in a timely manner Serve as the day‑to‑day operational point of contact across assigned accounts Escalate issues through the right channels before they impact delivery — always with solution options in hand Hot List & Studio Operations Lead and facilitate the daily Hot List standup, keeping the meeting focused, action‑oriented, and on time Maintain an accurate, up‑to‑date view of active work across the studio so leadership can make informed prioritization decisions Surface patterns, bottlenecks, and recurring friction points that the Director of PM can address at a systems level Support resource tracking and flag capacity concerns in collaboration with department lead Systems & Tools Develop mastery of monday.com as the agency’s primary project management platform — keeping boards accurate, boards current, and data clean Input project timelines, task assignments, and status updates consistently so reporting is reliable Support the Director of PM in maintaining and improving agency‑wide PM processes and documentation standards Coordinate scope‑of‑work communication through the right channels (monday.com first, Slack for real‑time conversation) Internal Agency Skills Build strong working relationships across creative, account, media, and studio teams Prioritize work accurately and communicate proactively when timelines or capacity are under pressure Bring a calm, organized presence to fast‑moving situations — the team should feel steadied, not stressed, by your involvement Arrange back‑up coverage on assigned projects when unavailable Qualifications 2–4 years of project management experience, preferably in an agency or creative production environment.
