Operating Room Registered NurseUnit Notes - Unit: OR - # suites: 11 - staffed for 6-7 open daily. - # of cases per day : 15-30 - Certs/Tech certified: RN - BLS, ACLS, PALS - CST - NBSTSA cert, BLS - Ratios: 1:1 - EMR: Cerner, Surginet - Charge Nurse: Charge RN / does the assignments for next day. - OR techs: Yes - CSTs - Call Requirement: 3 weekday evening/night call shifts and 3 weekend call shifts per 6 week schedule - What is call response time: 30 min - Holidays: Rotate with core staff. - Scrub Color/ Provided: Provided - Tele: Yes - Vents: Yes - Surgeon on call hours: 1 trauma surgeon and 1 anesthesiologist. - IV Team: No - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes - Shifts: Generally M-F 8s and 12s - Floating: No - Floor specific orientation: A week or until comfortable. - Common types of cases: Ortho, neuro, general. Everything except transplants. Have their own dedicated CVOR and trauma teams. - Scrubbing required - RN's: No - Additional Notes: Use preference cards.Sterile Processing Info - Certification: Techs must be certified through IAHCSMM or CBSPD. - Equipment Used: Sterad, Steris 1, washer disinfection, and steam disinfection. - Duties: Decontamination, clean packaging, sterile processing. - Shifts: 8hr variable start time. Saturdays are possible.
