As part of our team, youll be at the heart of delivering exceptional service in one of Alaskas most stunning destinations./ph3What Youll Do:/h3ulliProvide outstanding customer service to all Icy Strait Point guests./liliSell tickets and provide guests with information about all available tours./liliGreet guests, conduct orientations, and manage line control./liliAssist with tour preparation, including: ulliVerifying excursion requirements (e.g., weight checks, drivers licenses)./liliEnsuring waivers are signed./liliEscorting guests to tour vehicles or gondolas and ensuring timely departures./liliManaging secure bag check areas./li/ul/liliPromote Icy Strait Point venues, distribute literature, and sell merchandise./liliCommunicate clearly with tour guides, drivers, gondola operators, and management./liliEnsure the safe and orderly flow of passengers on/off aerial gondolas and tour vehicles./liliAssist with other programs and tasks as needed./li/ulh3What You Bring:/h3ulliA willingness to learn about Tlingit culture and deliver a Tlingit introduction./liliKnowledge of local marine life, plants, animals, and birds is a plus./liliStrong verbal communication skills and the ability to work with both adults and children./liliA commitment to safety and attention to detail./liliThe ability to learn, retain, and present excursion information accurately./liliMust be 18 years or older./liliA safety-sensitive mindset (subject to drug testing)./li/ulh3Physical Requirements Work Environment:/h3ulliWillingness to live in a remote, rural community./liliComfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote location./liliAbility to walk and work on gravel roads in various weather conditions./liliCapable of moderate physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and lifting more than 25 lbs./li/ulh3Why Work at Icy Strait Point?/h3pIcy Strait Point is a Native-owned and operated enterprise, offering authentic Alaskan experiences while maintaining a strong connection to Tlingit culture.
