The Data Analyst is the business liaison in understanding the data requirements, definition, and downstream use and business impacts. In addition, he or she will work closely with technical partners, business stakeholders and data stewards/ maintainers to ensure needs are clearly defined and met by data.Essential FunctionsTo perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. To request a reasonable accommodation, notify Human Resources or the manager who oversees the position.Understand, maintain and enforce enterprise data definition and uses (metadata), for example: Build a data definition and align the definition across business unitsCreate data requirements and data mapping documents for business processes or technology projectsAssist in designing master data entry business processes with data stewards to improve operational efficienciesAnalyze data and recommend improvements for efficiency / qualityResearch and recommend process or technology improvements for the quality of data being created or used (ex: Automated workflow process)Define data quality evaluation tools to enable end users to assess data quality and improve data quality (ex: Info Steward reports / dashboard)Document data definition or data entry processes to assist with training activities and support data entry teamsAdditional FunctionsPerform other duties as assigned.Job QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in MIS, IT, Computer Science or related field of study, or equivalent combination of education and experienceAt least 2 years of experience in data analysisExperience with Master Data Management solutions; preferred Informatica P360/C360Attention to detail and accuracy when dealing with large amounts of dataAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingCustomer-focused and collaborative attitudePreferred QualificationsData Management tool experience specific to Information Steward and Govern 360Automation experience specific to Automate EvolveSQL or other comparable language aptitudeSAP experience, especially ECC or S/4Working ConditionsPhysical DemandsOperating a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workdayMay occasionally need to move packages up to 10 pounds such as office supplies or equipmentEnvironmental FactorsThis position is in an office environment in which team members occupy desks in assigned areas or at meeting/collaboration spaces within the building. The building's primary work areas consist of desks, chairs, computers and other office equipment and devices for professional services.Travel and On-callThis position requires minimal travel (10%) in a national area.
