ASM Category Manager Pet/Tack, Yard, Receiving & Seasonal

Job Description Location: Omak, WA. We are looking to hire 1 Full‑Time Category Assistant Manager (ASM) to join our team. The ASM plays a key role in customer experience, sales, merchandising, inventory, and team leadership. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Sales Management : Manage and drive sales performance for designated categories, develop strategies, analyze data, optimize placement, collaborate on promotions. Customer Service : Provide exceptional service, handle inquiries, train associates, monitor satisfaction. Category Management : Oversee operations, ordering, merchandising, vendor collaboration, product performance. Team Leadership : Supervise associates, conduct meetings, give feedback, schedule staffing, manage discipline and performance reviews. Store Operations : Trained in opening/closing, manage front/back‑end operations, visual merchandising, support store manager. Sales Reporting and Analysis : Prepare reports, track KPIs, address issues. Cross‑Training and Manager Functions : Cross‑trained on all manager functions, participate in training, develop managerial skills. Qualifications Experience : Retail management or similar role, strong sales and leadership skills. Skills : Customer service, team management, sales analytics, communication, time management, proficiency with retail software and Microsoft Office. Knowledge : Retail sales strategies, inventory management, merchandising, customer service principles, market trends. Abilities : Drive sales, lead teams, analyze data, optimize product categories, adapt to fast‑paced environment, manage front/back‑end operations. Physical Requirements Stand and walk on concrete or hard surfaces; lift up to 65 pounds occasionally; use arms and shoulders for bending, squatting, lifting. Operate routine office equipment. Work extended hours (50‑55 hrs per week). Travel occasionally (0–10 %). Vision: close visual acuity for data entry, transcription, viewing screen.
