Water Fitness Instructor

Overview Type : Part Time Salary/Pay Rate : $25.00 - $35.00 Responsibilities Instruct group swim classes as assigned by the Aquatic Supervisor; evaluate programs and make recommendations for improvements to the Aquatic Supervisor. Deliver a safe and excellent customer service experience to residents, members and patrons while enforcing and adhering to existing policies and procedures. Work cooperatively with all Aquatics and facility personnel to promote customer satisfaction with programs and facilities with effective communication skills both verbally and in writing. Act as a public relations representative for the Aquatics Department and The Center of Clayton. Inform supervisor of all positive and negative information regarding the physical facility, aquatics staff or general public. Monitor attendance policies and keep patrons informed of class information and registration deadlines. Ensure program safety by monitoring the class area and notifying the program supervisor of any maintenance or safety concerns, as well as documenting accidents or incidents. Utilize program equipment and supplies and creatively develop new uses for enhancing instruction; secure and maintain any discipline-specific certifications as necessary. Attend all staff meetings or training sessions as required. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Certification from a nationally recognized organization or a minimum of two years' work experience in the area of expertise. Prefer experience in instruction and proven communication skills. Must possess and maintain applicable discipline-specific certifications; Water Fitness Certification or discipline-specific certification from a regionally accepted organization as proof of competency. #J-18808-Ljbffr City of Clayton
