RN - Telemetry

Shift: 3x12 Nights 1900-0730

Floating is required to like units at this hospital or close by hospitals depending on need. Weekend coverage: Every other but may change based on need. Medication system: Pyxis & Omnicell. Must have at least one year of EPIC experience. Patient diagnoses include adult patients in observation status and inpatient overflow, adult patients with chest pain/acute coronary syndrome, cardiac arrythmias, diabetes, syncope, permanent pacemaker insertion, CVA / TIA / stroke work-up, pneumonia, heart failure, COPD, sepsis, and GI bleed.

Special procedures include: Cardiac / Telemetry Monitoring, Pulse Oximetry Monitoring, Patient Assessment. Coordination of testing and procedures. Collaboration with providers. Acute Nursing Care. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop a patient specific plan of care. Consultations with specialty services to include but not limited to cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, neurology.

Types of procedures performed include: Cardiac / telemetry monitoring, Permanent pacemaker pacing, TEE, Negative pressure isolation (AFB), Thoracentesis/Paracentesis, Level 3 administration of continuous intravenous infusions per Prisma Health policy, Level 3 IV Push medications for inpatient care per Prisma Health policy.

Required certificates: SC RN license, ACLS, BLS and NIHSS. Requiring at least 1 year of experience in the field. Willing to review 1st time travelers depending on experience.
