Plasma Center Paramedic - EMT-P

About the Role BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The specialist will report to the Plasma Center Manager and work under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician to ensure high-quality plasma collection and superior customer service. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including management of informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical examination, and blood testing. Review laboratory test results, including Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE), and notify donors of any unsuitable findings. Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions in accordance with SOPs. Follow SOPs for medical emergencies, assist with developing Center Physician standing orders, and coordinate donor transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical issues regarding donor safety and eligibility. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees and manage employee incidents, including determining further evaluation by occupational health or ER. Serve as Pandemic Coordinator, when authorized by Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS), and support investigations of pandemic threats within the local community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, including a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment (LPN or LVN). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation and Benefits Location: USA – FL – Tampa Hourly Wage Range: $24.32 – $33.44 (actual wage may vary based on qualifications, experience, skills and location).
