Preventative Maintenance Technician – 2nd & 3rd Shift Location: Lafayette, Indiana Pay Range: $30.28–$38.52 per hour + 6% shift premium Shift Times: 2nd Shift: 3:30 pm – 11:30 pm; 3rd Shift: 11:30 pm – 7:30 am Job Duties: Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication on machines and equipment in the machine shop. Focus on service of chip and coolant handling systems. Assist Machine Repairmen on “two‑person” tasks and perform minor mechanical repairs such as unplugging sluice lines, replacing wipers, piping, and sealing air, coolant, and hydraulic leaks. Basic Qualifications: Understanding of welding and cutting, lubrication principles, and pipefitting. Experience with preventive maintenance on CNC machine tools, conveyors, robots, and/or coolant systems. Basic electrical and print reading skills; knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication systems, and welding. Preferred: Willingness to work overtime when production demands arise. Strong interpersonal, self‑motivation, and customer‑focused mindset. Physical Requirements: Work at heights, climb ladders, underground, and in confined spaces. Fast‑paced, medium to heavy duty assembly and technical environment. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 8+ hours. Lift 40 pounds.
