Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Telemetry)

Location

Needham, MA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts | Weekends and holidays expected | Expected 72 hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Medical-Surgical Telemetry floors as part of a float pool, rotating to all MS Tele units as needed
• Float to like units and overflow areas as directed
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data for assigned patients
• Administer and manage medications in accordance with facility protocols
• Apply knowledge of critical pathways to support patient care planning and outcomes
• Pass required Dysrhythmia and Medication competency exams prior to assignment (85% passing score required; one attempt only)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical Telemetry experience
• Current AHA BLS Certification required
• Current AHA ACLS Certification required
• Must successfully pass Telemetry Competency Exam prior to assignment (85% minimum; one attempt only, no remediation or re-sit available)
• Documented professional development activities required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Familiarity with critical pathways and care coordination in a telemetry setting
• Experience floating across multiple Medical-Surgical units
