RN - PCU

This position requires working a night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a commitment of 36 hours scheduled and 24 hours guaranteed each week. Job Description The Neuro-Trauma PCU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients in a high-acuity neuro-trauma unit. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, while collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure delivery of personalized care. This role requires a dynamic individual who is experienced in neuro-trauma nursing and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological and trauma-related conditions. Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform interventions as needed. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. Document all patient care and interactions accurately in electronic medical records. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 24 months of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with recent experience within the last 12 months. Active RN license with no hits on state license to practice. Current Life Support certifications (BLS and ACLS) from AHA, ARC, or ASHI. Driver's License to verify residency. Travel experience is highly preferred.
