Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Perform service, repairs, and inspections associated with fire sprinkler systems and other water-based equipment in accordance with all national and local standards. In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also act as a mentor, providing on‑job training to entry‑level fire alarm inspectors, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge‑sharing within our team. Responsibilities Inspect, repair, and maintain wet, dry, pre‑action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, and fire pumps. Perform fire sprinkler, fire pump, and other water‑based equipment inspections and testing. Properly document deficiencies noted during inspections or service work and follow the required reporting process while on site. Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed. Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment; follow corporate policies related to vehicle use and care. Basic Qualifications Technician endorsement for automatic Fire Sprinkler system maintenance inspection, small installation, pipe fitting and sprinkler head relocation projects. 1+ years of experience with Fire Sprinkler systems (Mid Level). 3+ years of experience with Fire Sprinkler systems (Senior Level). NICET I in inspection and testing of water‑based systems or water‑based layout (certification within the first 12 months). Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high‑lift equipment; working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted. Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma, state‑recognized GED, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s Degree. NICET II+ in inspection and testing of water‑based systems or water‑based layout. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
