Job Summary:
A Physical Therapist (PT) is a healthcare professional specializing in diagnosing and treating individuals with medical problems, injuries, or conditions that limit their ability to move and perform daily activities. The role involves developing personalized treatment plans to restore function, improve mobility, alleviate pain, and prevent or manage physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment:
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess a patient's physical condition, movement, and functional limitations.
• Review medical histories and collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine diagnoses and appropriate treatments.

Treatment Planning:
• Develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Establish realistic short- and long-term goals with measurable outcomes.

Therapeutic Interventions:
• Implement a range of therapies, such as exercises, manual therapy, stretching, and functional training.
• Utilize modalities like ultrasound, heat/cold therapy, and electrical stimulation to promote recovery.
• Teach patients exercises and techniques to improve strength, flexibility, and endurance.

Education and Counseling:
• Educate patients and their families on maintaining healthy movement patterns, injury prevention, and at-home exercises.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement during the rehabilitation process.

Progress Monitoring:
• Regularly evaluate and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
• Communicate updates to physicians, caregivers, and other healthcare team members.

Administrative Duties:
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with documentation standards.
• Stay current on best practices, new treatments, and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications:
Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
Licensure: Valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.
