Job Title: IT Network Administrator Department: Information Technology Reports to: IT Director Status: Full-Time, Exempt Work Location: Fully Onsite | The Smith Center for the Performing Arts Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 Summary of Duties and Responsibilities The Information Technology Network Administrator is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and support of the organization's network, systems, and technology infrastructure to ensure reliable and effective technology operations and service delivery. This position reports to the IT Director, assists with IT policies, purchasing, licensing, and technology initiatives, and works collaboratively across departments to provide effective end-user support and technology services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Administer and support the organization's information security program to help ensure information assets, applications, systems, infrastructure, and related technology processes are appropriately protected.Manage and maintain IT systems and infrastructure, including computers, servers, switches, storage, network equipment, and communications technologies.Develop, review, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures and plans to support business continuity and system availability.Collaborate with all members of the IT team to identify opportunities to improve service performance, share technical knowledge and best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT operations and service delivery.Balance information security and technology controls with operational needs and business objectives while remaining current with industry standards, best practices, and emerging technology developments.Provide Tier III help desk and technical support, ensuring timely resolution of complex end-user issues while maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfaction.Work within established budgets to maintain, upgrade, and replace hardware, software, systems, and technology resources as needed.Actively manages IT systems and infrastructure projects, including Cisco, VMWare Server environment, and other core technologies, and serve as a technical lead when coordinating advanced system support with external consultants.Assist with development, implementation, maintenance, and enforcement of all IT policies, procedures, and standards established by IT leadership.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, IT team, vendors, and consultants on large-scale IT projects and technology initiatives.Maintain security, integrity, and privacy of the organizational information systems, communications, and technology equipment.Monitor IT systems and infrastructure performance, develop appropriate reporting, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and performance.Effectively supports the Strategic Plan by identifying and implementing insightful technology solutions that will sustain current operations and support future business needs.Support and manage external vendor relationships, as assigned, to promote service quality, compliance, and performance.Support the IT Director in developing appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLAs), service standards, and performance measures to maintain a high level of IT service delivery.Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, strengthen technology operations, and enhance service to patrons and internal stakeholders through effective technology implementations.Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with the scope and responsibilities of the role. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.Minimum of four (4) years of progressive IT experience, including experience supporting and administering network, systems, and technology infrastructure.Professional certifications in one or more relevant technologies are preferred, such as VMware V.C.P., Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA certifications, including A+, Network+, Security+.Demonstrated experience supporting IT projects and effectively managing multiple priorities, timelines, and technical initiatives.Strong understanding of information technology systems, processes, and governance practices, including information security, scalability, business continuity, and disaster recovery.Experience managing both on-premises and cloud-based technology environments. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory administration, including configuration, maintenance, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange, SharePoint, and related productivity and collaboration tools.Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Entra ID), Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender technologies, and other cloud-based identity, device management, and security solutions.Experience with VMware or comparable virtualization technologies, including configuration, administration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.Proficiency in network administration and configuration, including Cisco-based networking technologies, switches, firewalls, and Xirrus wireless infrastructure.Experience with storage technologies, including SAN/NAS environments, as well as enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.Working knowledge of information security technologies and cybersecurity practices, including endpoint protection, email security, access controls, vulnerability management, and related security frameworks.Experience utilizing IT management and service desk tools for system monitoring, asset management, incident management, and workflow tracking.Proficiency with the ManageEngine Suite of products and services. The base annual salary range for this full-time and exempt position is $65,000 - $75,000 plus benefits, including insurance plans as applicable.
