ICU Registered Nurse (RN)A challenging and rewarding opportunity is available for an ICU Registered Nurse in a high-acuity environment focused on burn and pediatric trauma care. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide critical care to patients, promoting optimal healing and recovery.Position OverviewThis position is for a 13-week assignment with a night shift schedule, consisting of three 12-hour shifts each week. The Registered Nurse will deliver specialized care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that includes both adult and pediatric patients.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDeliver patient-centered care in the Burn and Pediatric Trauma ICU.Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing immediate intervention as necessary.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Epic charting system.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to formulate and implement patient care plans.Proficiently interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and perform necessary assessments.Float between various ICU units as needed while ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.QualificationsActive RN license with a minimum of two years of experience in an ICU setting.Experience in adult care is required; candidates with only pediatric experience will be redirected.Current certifications in ACLS and VLS.Ability to work every other weekend with some flexibility.No restrictions on time off, but no more than six days off in total and no holiday time off is permitted.Additional InformationFacility operates an 18-bed Burn and Pediatric Trauma ICU.Staff to patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on patient acuity.Daily onsite parking available for a fee, with additional offsite parking options including shuttle service.All staff are required to wear solid color scrubs; unit provides light blue scrubs.If you are a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse looking to expand your experience in a unique critical care setting, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.
