Speech Language Pathologist

This is a 13-week contract position for a Speech Language Pathologist responsible for providing speech, language, and dysphagia services to patients. The role involves evaluating patients, planning individual care programs, administering treatments, and developing home programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient evaluations and administer treatment for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Design and revise plans of care and goals.
• Provide written and/or verbal reports to physicians.
• Complete documentation according to unit standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in in-service education programs and keep abreast of current trends in speech and swallowing disorders.
• Participate in related activities such as patient care committees, case conferences, personnel orientation, and community education projects.
• Attend staff meetings.

Schedule

Days Shift: 9 hours, five days per week (36hrs/week, but could work up to 40hrs weekly).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years pediatric SLP experience.
• Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• Experience with VFSS required.
• Current Michigan SLP License.
• Active American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Must provide own vehicle for commute.
