Computer Engineer

Mechanical EngineerArcfield is currently seeking skilled and motivated full-time Mechanical Engineer to support on-site at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC). You will support Code 34 Radar In-Service Engineering Agency (ISEA) Team. Tasking will include analysis, design and capability enhancements, testing support, and in-service support for new and fielded Radar Systems.Duties and Responsibilities:Troubleshoot hardware and software issues at both NUWC lab within the fleet.Analysis for and development of Engineering Change Instructions and Engineering Change Proposals.Perform gap, fault/failure, and performance analyses.Document and present trade studies.Investigate capabilities and applicability of unique testing environments to support required testing objectives.Perform impact analysis of testing on related systems /subsystems.Perform and/or support factory acceptance testing.Develop program status reports such as technical assessments, risk assessments, technical recommendations or technical information.Qualifications/Skills:Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer scienceTechnical writing and presentation skills required along with a strong proficiency in Microsoft WordExperience in Microsoft ExcelExperience in VISIO or similar engineering-oriented documentation applications is a plusExperience with process improvement methods, practices, and procedures (i.e., CMMI) is a plusAdditional Requirements:Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environmentStrong documentation and communication skillsUnderstanding DoD engineering design practices is a plusAbility to obtain a Secret level security clearance, active or very recent DoD Security clearances are a plusThis is the projected compensation range for this position.
