Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), ensuring a safe and efficient recovery process for patients following surgical procedures. The RN will work collaboratively within a team of healthcare professionals to monitor patient recovery and address any complications that may arise.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient recovery in the PACU.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous access.
• Provide post-operative care and education to patients and families.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license for the state of Florida.
• Experience in PACU, ICU, or ER settings preferred.
• Must have skills in ICU vents and GTTs.
• Must be flexible and reliable.
