Job Overview:

Pay Range: $67.66hr - $72.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
• Experienced in 3D modelling of Site earthworks, drainage, roads, etc.
• Expert in use of Civil modelling software such as Civil3D and/or OpenRoads Designer.
• Experience with preparing Quantity takeoffs of Civil materials.
• Ability to attend in-person at least three days per week at the assigned office or project.

Responsibilities:

• Leads the work of civil designers and drafters for a project to include the preparation of layouts, study drawings, detailed 2-D and 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) design models and construction drawings.
• Develops designs for complete and complex civil engineering systems such as earthwork, drainage and road design with minimum supervision from which detailed scale models and/or construction drawings are completed.
• Assists in constructing detailed scale models.
• Prepares or assists with the preparation of assigned material requisitions and bid evaluations.
• Monitors and checks work for compliance with approved civil design standards to provide quality design, reliable/safe plant operation and construction economy.
• Participates in constructability reviews.
• Prepares design and drafting procedures to standardize design effort.
• Coordinates or makes jobsite visits, as required, to resolve problems and interpret drawings and documents.
• Reviews civil design scope changes, as required, for project management.
• Ensures civil systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standard.
• Collaborates to plan, develop, coordinate, and review project civil design work.
• Produces drawings, facilitates discussions, communicates complex technical issues, and prepares civil design estimates and work plans.
