Job Description:

• Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with technicians and engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
• Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
• Required to work hands-on the deposition of material using tools and work instructions.
• Required to work hands-on the lab equipment and configure the modules to the requested customer configuration.
• Required to follow all work instructions, procedures and processes, including equipment and tooling.
• Required to follow all safety and emergency procedures and protocol.
• Perform necessary calculations and input precise data
• Works on assignments requiring considerable judgement and initiative
• Understands implication of work and makes recommendations for solutions
• Plan work and execute plans in a safe, sensible, and timely manner
• Periodically lifting of material is expected
• Follow all company process and procedures
• Require daily clean room protocol
• Follow all company policies and procedures relating to quality management standards, such as ISO
• Require meticulous and precise manual dexterity handling wafers
• Provide daily log and weekly updates
• Perform material deposition on wafers using established procedures and work instructions.
• Operate manufacturing and metrology equipment.
• Handle wafers throughout the manufacturing process while maintaining contamination control standards.
• Set up, calibrate, and run equipment.
• Measure and verify product specifications.
• Complete production documentation and paperwork.
• Package and prepare finished products for shipment.
• Follow safety, quality, cleanroom, and ISO compliance procedures.
• Support wafer deposition processes in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
• This is a hands-on manufacturing role focused on operating equipment, processing wafers, performing measurements, completing documentation, and packaging finished products.
• Review work order and product specifications.
• Gather and inspect wafers and materials.
• Mix deposition solutions according to documented procedures.
• Run deposition process on wafers.
• Measure wafers using metrology equipment.
• Analyze results and troubleshoot if specifications are not met.
• Enter data into Excel-based documentation systems.
• Generate certifications and labels.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training
• Technical degree, certificate, or equivalent experience is acceptable.
• 5+ years of manufacturing-related experience preferred
• Ability to read and follow assembly documents in their entirely
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Familiarity with hand and machine tools
• Ability to lift +/- 25 lbs. (using the necessary equipment if needed)
• Knowledge of ESD practices
• Knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, File management and folder navigation, Moving and transferring files between systems, Basic computer literacy)
• Attention to detail
• Understand beginning to end process flow/knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment or process errors
• Ability to adjust equipment to achieve desired requirements
• A good understanding of Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical systems
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively, utilizing time wisely
• Ability to work under frequency changing priorities and deadlines
• Ability to take daily notes on production process
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
• Cleanroom experience
• Wafer handling experience strongly preferred.
• Experience following detailed work instructions and procedures.
• Critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently after training.
• Good time management and self-direction.
• Comfortable lifting wafer carriers (FOUP/FOSB) as required.
• Understand how to identify and resolve process problems.
• Take initiative to seek assistance when needed.
• Experienced manufacturing technicians
