Compensation: $18 - $20/hr., based on experience. + $2/hr. Overnight Differential

Job Description

The Husbandry Kennel Assistant's job description will include ensuring professional appearance of the hospital, maintenance and cleanliness of facility and equipment, laundry, assistance with inventory and shipment, and knowledge of disinfection protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional and welcoming appearance of the hospital at all times.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all hospital areas, including kennels, treatment rooms, and common spaces.
• Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding bedding, towels, and other hospital textiles.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and shipping supplies.
• Follow proper disinfection protocols for equipment, treatment areas, and kennels to prevent the spread of infection.
• Monitor and maintain hospital equipment, ensuring it is clean, functional, and ready for use.
• Support the Emergency Room team by performing husbandry-related tasks, allowing medical staff to focus on patient care.
• Report any facility or equipment concerns to management promptly.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Kennel Experience is preferred.
• Strong interest in veterinary medicine is required

• Adaptability individuals willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best patient and client experience.
• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
