Apply today and become part of the GSF Properties team!Key Responsibilities:Perform preventative and maintenance and repair work in areas including, but not limited to, appliances, carpentry, hardware, and basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.Complete assigned service requests and repairs in accordance with company operating procedures and standards.Assist in preparing vacant apartments to ensure they are market-ready and meet company quality standards.Maintain community grounds and curb appeal and trash management.Be available for on call activity during off hours and emergencies as neededMaintain good public relations with residents and vendorsAssist with annual apartment inspections and identifying action itemsReport violations of lease and house rulesTimely completion of maintenance request, work orders and ensure tenant's maintenance needs are being metWork with manager to schedule vendors and order necessary suppliesMaintaining excellent curb appealHelp maintaining excellent curb appealGSF Benefits:MedicalDentalVisionEmployee assistance program401KLife insuranceHolidaysVacationJob Requirements for Maintenance Technician I:Minimum 6 months to 1 year of apartment maintenance experience.Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, unit turns, and general maintenance repairs.Experience completing work orders and preparing vacant units for new residents.Ability to perform minor repairs such as patching walls, painting, and replacing hardware.Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications.Strong customer service skills with a resident-focused approach.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions and receive feedback.Ability to work a regular schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.Participation in an on-call rotation as needed.Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance required.
