Practice Manager

Title Associate Practice Manager Company Oak Street Health Role Description The purpose of an Associate Practice Manager at Oak Street Health is to lead and manage operations at a single primary care clinic location in accordance with company values and standards. The role supervises clinical and non‑clinical team members, supports operational initiatives, drives the team toward achieving patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes measured via various metrics, and ensures the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently on a daily basis. Core Responsibilities Staff Management and Development – hire, train, supervise, coach, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of over 15 members; foster a culture of engagement and adherence to company values. Clinic Operations – maintain daily clinic operations, ensure adequate staffing, coordinate coverage for absences, enforce standard operating procedures, and manage scheduling and facility issues. Patient Experience – provide service recovery as needed, drive patient experience initiatives, and support clinical and service teams in achieving metrics related to outcomes and team member experience. Leadership and Community Engagement – partner with the Center Medical Director and Associate Outreach Manager to make collaborative decisions that support patient care, team interests, and center profitability. Other Duties – perform additional tasks as assigned by regional leadership. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings. Proficient PC skills. US work authorization. Strongly Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field. 5+ years of supervisory experience within a clinical setting. Fluency in Spanish or other languages spoken by community members. Experience driving teams toward metric achievement. Experience with Google Suite. Other Skills Passion for mentorship and team development. Ability to cultivate a collaborative, patient‑centric culture. Problem‑solving orientation with a focus on process improvement. Flexible and positive attitude, comfortable with ambiguity. Proactive, adaptable working style; able to cover tasks as they arise and make independent decisions on competing priorities. Impeccable judgment and maturity. Supportive attitude toward older adult patient population. Discretion in handling confidential information. Pay Range $46,988.00 – $91,800.00 (annual salary, varies by experience, education, geography and other factors). Eligible for bonus, commission, or short‑term incentive programs.
