Security Flex Officer - Northern Suburb Coverage

Position Details Position: Part-Time Flex Officer Location: Northern Suburbs (Waukegan, Deerfield, Wheeling) Pay Rate: $22.38 per hour Schedule: Flexible availability required across all days and shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age Minimum of one (1) year of security experience Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Must be willing and able to travel one hour or more to assigned work locations Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs Responsibilities Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards Sound alarms or call police / fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal is conducted within client requirements Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders Qualifications Must possess a high school diploma Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle Applicants will be subject to a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with applicable laws No prior experience required Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public Effective oral and written communication skills; written reports accurately and clearly Active listening and problem‑solving skills Assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately Mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy Teamwork Attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic) Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience Benefits Schedules that fit with your personal life goals Ongoing paid training programs and career growth opportunities Employee discounts through perks program to restaurants, entertainment venues, and many more Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer.
