Adult Education Coordinator

Adult Education Coordinator - Comstock Compass High School 20-30 hours per week. Start at the beginning of the 2026-27 school year. Salary $34.00 per hour. Location & Availability Compass High School – August 2026. Qualifications / Summary Teaching credential in a core curriculum area preferred. Valid secondary teaching certificate preferred. The coordinator develops, administers, and maintains all procedures for the program operation aimed at providing adult learners the best services for skill preparation and/or completion while aiding the principal with their responsibilities. Responsible for day-to-day operations and procedures. Responsibilities Intake and enroll students in Adult ABE, Pre-GED, GED, and High School diploma programs. Unenroll students that are not completing work or remain in contact after 30-90 days or 9 days for pupils. Reinstate students when appropriate. Keep accurate records, attendance data, and contact logs. Enter enrollment and data in MAERS and the student information system. Regularly contact students. Tutor/support students in all core content areas. Enter data, create reports, and determine outcomes in MAERS according to state regulations. Instruct on the use of Edmentum (set up student accounts, grade, communicate). Instruct on the use of Essential Education (set up student accounts, monitor, communicate). Secure GED proctors if using testing center or purchase GED vouchers. Handle calls and inquiries. Be sure students are prepared for the GED state test according to state and federal policy. Follow IEP and 504, record in spreadsheet/log. Distribute Chromebooks and record them in the adult education log. Request return when dropped. Weekly outreach and communication with students, record in two-way log. Create student GED accounts. Capture student progress in GED manager. Help student apply for GED testing accommodations when applicable. Complete age waiver for GED students under 18 years old. Coordinate, implement, evaluate, and supervise program goals and objectives. Ensure compliance with district and state regulations.
