Recreational Gymnastics Coach

Casper Gymnastics Center is seeking positive, energetic, and dependable Recreational Gymnastics Coaches who enjoy working with children. Our recreational program helps athletes develop strength, coordination, flexibility, confidence, and foundational gymnastics skills in a safe and encouraging environment. As a Recreational Gymnastics Coach, you will lead age-appropriate classes, celebrate each athlete’s progress, and help children build confidence while having fun. Gymnastics or coaching experience is preferred, but training is available for enthusiastic candidates who are ready to learn. Key Responsibilities Skill Development: Teach proper progressions and foundational skills across events such as floor, bars, beam, vault, trampoline, and general movement activities, as appropriate for each class. Safety and Supervision: Maintain active supervision, use proper spotting techniques, enforce gym safety rules, and provide a secure environment for every athlete. Positive Coaching: Encourage athletes through patient, constructive instruction that builds confidence, independence, and a lasting enjoyment of gymnastics. Class Preparation: Arrive on time, prepare equipment and stations before class, and keep instructional areas organized and ready for safe participation. Athlete Engagement: Adapt instruction to different ages, abilities, learning styles, and confidence levels so every child can participate and progress. Family Communication: Greet families professionally and provide clear, appropriate updates about athlete participation and progress when needed. Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with fellow coaches and program leaders, participate in staff training, and contribute to a positive gym culture. Professional Development: Learn and apply Casper Gymnastics Center’s coaching methods, safety standards, class-management practices, and skill progressions. Qualifications Enjoys teaching, encouraging, and inspiring children. Positive, energetic, reliable, and ready to contribute as part of a team. Gymnastics, coaching, teaching, childcare, or youth-sports experience is preferred but not required. Willingness to learn gymnastics progressions, spotting techniques, and class-management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide patient, enthusiastic, and age-appropriate instruction. Ability to remain active throughout classes and assist athletes safely when required. Commitment to maintaining a professional, inclusive, and safety-focused environment. CPR and First Aid certification—or willingness to obtain certification is preferred. Must meet all employment, training, and background-check requirements established by Casper Gymnastics Center.
