Job Title: Tea Room Manager
Location: Lexington Tea & Brie
Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Work Schedule: Tuesday to Sunday, 9 AM to 5 PM (varies based on private party bookings)
Compensation: Competitive, based on market conditions and experience

About Us:
Lexington Tea & Brie is a charming tea room offering an upscale afternoon tea dining
experience, private parties and events. We take pride in providing exceptional customer service
and a delightful dining experience. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Manager to
oversee all aspects of our tea room operations and lead our team to success.


Job Summary:
As the Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Lexington
Tea & Brie. This role requires a hands-on leader who can efficiently handle scheduling, staff
management, customer reservations, and inventory while ensuring a high level of customer
satisfaction. You will work closely with your team to maintain a smooth and enjoyable
experience for our guests.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure all operational tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.
  • Handle customer reservations and special event bookings.

Staff Management:

  • Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during all operating hours.
  • Supervise and support staff in their daily tasks, including seating, serving, bussing tables, food prep, and dishwashing.
  • Provide training and ongoing development for staff to maintain high service standards.
  • Address any staffing issues or conflicts promptly and professionally.


Customer Service:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and empathy.

Inventory and Supply Management:

  • Manage inventory levels to ensure all necessary items are in stock for smooth operation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for ordering and receiving inventory.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records.

Financial Management:

  • Work within approved budget
  • Assist with financial reporting and cash handling as required.


Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Must obtain food handler management certification
  • Must obtain alcohol server certification

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a managerial role within a café, restaurant, or similar food service environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in managing inventory and handling financial transactions.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours based on business needs, including private event bookings.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
