Payroll & Benefit Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll & Benefit Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for processing payroll accurately and efficiently while supporting HR functions, including benefits administration and employee onboarding. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes along with a working knowledge of benefits and compliance regulations. POSITION OVERVIEW Key Responsibilities: Process weekly or biweekly payroll accurately and on time for contracted clients Maintain and update employee payroll records Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Assist with employee onboarding, including new hire paperwork and system entry Support benefits administration, including enrollments and employee inquiries Serve as a resource for employees regarding payroll, benefits, and related questions Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information Systems and Tools: Experience with payroll and HR systems is preferred, including Skyward, Workforce, and Ascender Training will be provided on internal systems as needed Qualifications: Previous experience in payroll processing required Working knowledge of employee benefits and HR terminology Understanding of FMLA, COBRA, unemployment, and workers’ compensation Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism Preferred Experience: Experience supporting both payroll and HR functions in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with onboarding processes and compliance requirements Why Join Us: Stable Monday through Friday schedule Opportunity to grow within a supportive team environment Competitive hourly pay based on experience Job Title: Payroll & Benefit Specialist Location: Haslet Pay Rate: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM #J-18808-Ljbffr
