Overview Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Cambridge, MA. Start date 08/31/2026 | 13-week travel assignment | $2,603-$2,814 per week | 40 guaranteed hours per week | Shift: Rotating 8x5 | Hospital setting Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,603-$2,814 per week (local rate eligibility available; local rate is $8 less than posted rate within 50 miles) - Guaranteed hours: 40 per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Rotating 8x5 with 6pm-6am, 10pm-6am, or 1:45pm-10:15pm shifts - Start date: 08/31/2026 - Setting: hospital-based respiratory care unit - Certifications/credentials required for submission: NBRC RRT, MA RRT license, NRP Responsibilities - Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care per physician orders, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring - Manage and assist with a range of therapies (nebulized medications, airway clearance techniques, aerosolized medications) and weaning from ventilator support when indicated - Perform and document patient assessments, monitor device performance, and adjust therapies as ordered - Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment; ensure infection control and equipment safety standards - Document care in the electronic medical record (EPIC experience preferred) and participate in patient rounds and interdisciplinary communication - Work independently on assigned shift and participate in holiday coverage as required Requirements - Active Massachusetts Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license at time of submission - NBRC certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required at submission - NRP certification required - AHA-BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required - 1+ year of acute care respiratory therapy experience - EPIC EMR experience preferred; 2 recent manager/supervisor references in the specialty Benefits and Support - Assignment support from a dedicated travel recruiter with 24/7 access - Credentialing and onboarding assistance to expedite start - Ongoing clinical and operational support throughout the assignment - Guaranteed hours and weekly pay as listed - Flexible scheduling with rotating shifts to accommodate unit needs Find more opportunities If you're interested in other openings, apply through the Hiring Organization URL: Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
