EHS Coordinator

Overview The EHS Coordinator is responsible for the implementation, administration, training, and enforcement of plant-wide safety, health, and environmental programs. This role also keeps abreast of new EHS developments by attending courses and maintaining contact with other EHS professionals and regulatory agencies, as well as promoting personal development and awareness of EHS issues and concerns in all plant personnel. Maintain a consistent presence out in the plant to achieve heightened vigilance and awareness with plant activities. Effective and organized record-keeping of all personnel training files, prepare and submit MSHA reports, ensure contractor compliance with USS requirements, prepare and submit state regulatory reports, and ensure compliance with all relevant permit parameters and requirements. Responsibilities Maintain organized record-keeping of all personnel training files; prepare and submit MSHA reports; ensure contractor compliance with USS requirements; prepare and submit state regulatory reports; ensure compliance with all relevant permit parameters and requirements; respond effectively to emergency situations. This position works with a minimal amount of supervision and spends approximately 60 percent of the time out in the plant environment. The EHS Coordinator will work closely with all levels of the plant and corporate organizations and will need to work before internal and external groups. Qualifications/Requirements This position requires some travel and a flexible work schedule.
