Assistant/Associate Professor – Mechanical Engineering Job Summary : The College of Engineering seeks to fill a tenure‑track position for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering commencing Fall 2026/Spring 2027. The successful candidate will have interest and experience in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Mechanics. Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering. Advise, encourage, and inspire undergraduate and graduate students. Conduct research and submit highly competitive proposals in their area of specialization. Engage students in hands‑on, practical applications of engineering theory. Communicate effectively with a diverse student and faculty population. Contribute to the overall advancement of the department, college, and university. Collaborate with other faculty and staff as needed. Participate in faculty events as needed. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Earned Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. Specialization in Mechatronics, Robotics and/or Controls, and Mechanics. Ability to teach a broad range of allied Mechanical Engineering courses. Knowledge and experience in Advanced Manufacturing. Position Details : Full‑time, FLSA exempt, Posting Number F1056.
