ServiceNow Software Engineer (CMDB)

Apex Systems has an immediate need for a (40% Remote) ServiceNow Software Engineer (CMDB) able to work on-site (tues, weds, thurs) in either Philadelphia, PA; Charlotte, NC; Scottsdale, AZ; or Plano, TX. This will be an estimated "6 Month Contract to Permanent Hire" opportunity, supporting one of our largest healthcare clients on the East Coast. Please see below for all position details.

Salary: $170,000 - $180,000 & Full Benefits

Hourly Rate on Contract: $80.00 - $85.00 on W-2

Requirements:

• USC (Eligibility)
• 5+ Years of ServiceNow Development / Engineering
• Experience with ServiceNow Platform & CMDB Development & Engineering
• Strong Experience with Design, engineer, configure, and support CMDB functionality within an increasingly complex ServiceNow platform landscape.
• Strong Experience Building CMDB solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices, performance standards, and long-term platform roadmaps.

Job Description:

• Design, engineer, configure, and enhance ServiceNow functionality.
• Develop custom ServiceNow solutions.
• Build workflows, UI improvements, and platform enhancements.
• Support platform upgrades.
• Deliver ServiceNow capabilities specifically for CMDB and related business needs.
• Potentially assist the enterprise platform team during periods of lower demand.
• Support the implementation, optimization, and adoption of advanced ServiceNow capabilities, including Now Assist and AI-driven features.
• Ensure CMDB-related services remain stable, secure, resilient, and scalable as adoption and dependency continue to grow.
• Provide dedicated engineering coverage where broader ServiceNow platform teams are capacity constrained.
• Accelerate delivery by reducing cycle time for enhancements, fixes, upgrades, and client requests impacting CMDB-dependent workflows.
• Identify and reduce technical debt to improve maintainability, reliability, and future extensibility of the platform.
• Support ongoing operational excellence for CMDB-related services.
• Partner closely with CMDB governance, operations, platform, and client teams to translate requirements into durable, enterprise-grade technical implementations.
• Act as a trusted engineering advisor for CMDB-related design decisions, trade-offs, and roadmap planning.
• Enable safe and scalable adoption of new ServiceNow capabilities across the organization
