Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care in a critical access hospital, primarily focusing on obstetrics and labor and delivery. The role includes supporting med-surg units and taking on charge nurse responsibilities as needed, with a variety of rotating 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Render direct patient care to obstetrics and labor and delivery patients.
• Support med-surg units during periods without OB duties.
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities on assigned shifts to coordinate patient care.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety standards to ensure quality care delivery.
• Participate in rotating shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Demonstrate at least 1 year of labor and delivery or obstetrics nursing experience.
• Possess strong clinical skills in labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Be prepared to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient needs and hospital protocols.
