Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a hospital radiation oncology department, requiring ARRT and CA CRT certification with 2+ years of experience.
Details
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- No weekends, call, or floating required
- Uses Epic for charting
- Uses ARIA and Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning systems
- Performs CT simulation and simulation of treatment sites
- Accepts local candidates at a local rate
Requirements
- ARRT certification required
- CA CRT license required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with Treatment Units, ARIA, and Eclipse (Varian) planning systems
- Skilled in pretreatment procedures and radiation safety protocols
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use

- Performs routine and specialized radiation treatments according to physician treatment plans
- Works independently with sound clinical judgment to ensure safe and precise procedure delivery
- Builds trust and cooperation with patients and families through effective communication
- Adheres to all applicable regulations and safety protocols
- May orient other staff or perform specialized procedures
- Handles emergency cases as needed
- Limited to 1 holiday off per contract
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
- Travel experience required; first-time travelers not considered
- Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return
