Supply Chain Buyer / Planner

Direct Hire | Up to $75,000 DOE | First Shift
Middlesex County, CT

A.R. Mazzotta is partnering with a well-established manufacturer to hire an experienced Supply Chain Buyer / Planner. This direct hire opportunity combines purchasing, procurement, production planning, inventory management and supplier management in a key manufacturing role.

What You'll Do

• Purchase raw materials, finished goods, packaging and outsourced services
• Source suppliers and negotiate pricing, lead times and delivery schedules
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, quality and delivery issues
• Create and maintain production schedules based on demand and capacity
• Monitor inventory levels and material requirements to prevent shortages
• Review forecasts and adjust purchasing and production plans
• Maintain accurate ERP/MRP data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), item records and supplier information
• Partner with Operations, Engineering and Quality
• Track purchasing, inventory, cost savings and supplier performance
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and supply chain improvements

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of Buyer, Purchasing, Procurement, Production Planning, Materials Planning or Supply Chain experience within manufacturing
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, BOMs and inventory management
• Strong supplier sourcing and negotiation skills
• Understanding of manufacturing and production processes
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Analytical, organized and able to manage changing priorities
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations or related field—or equivalent hands-on experience
