Licensed Practical Nurse

Tessera Adolescent Health is a new residential treatment program opening in Levittown, Pennsylvania. We provide residential treatment for substance use and co-occurring disorders to adolescents ages 14 through 17. We're hiring our first nursing team, so the nurses who start with us help set how the unit runs instead of inheriting someone else's routines. In a program like this, the nurses are the ones residents see most. You're with them on the hard days early in treatment, you're there at every med pass, and you're usually the first person to notice when a kid is turning a corner. Most of them are away from home for the first time and they're scared. How a nurse talks to them ends up mattering as much as the vitals. We have full-time and part-time openings for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) on 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and weekends. Pay is $25 to $35 an hour depending on experience. Responsibilities Complete nursing admission screenings, take vital signs, and monitor residents for changes in physical health Administer and document medications, including controlled substances, and follow the facility's storage and count procedures Report changes in a resident's condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or the on-call medical provider Collect specimens for laboratory testing Document care in the electronic medical record Keep medical supplies stocked and maintain infection control standards Work alongside counselors, direct care staff, and the medical provider as one treatment team Requirements At least one year of nursing experience. This is a requirement, not a preference. Active Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing Availability for 2nd shift, 3rd shift, or weekends Experience in substance use treatment or adolescent care is helpful but not required #J-18808-Ljbffr
