North American Construction Services, Ltd. is hiring a permanent, full-time welder to join our team in Pinson/Birmingham, AL. This dynamic subsidiary of Fives North American Combustion and the renowned Fives Group has over five decades of pioneering contributions in innovative engineering, fabrication, and construction in industrial thermal processes. We offer fully-integrated, turnkey solutions for furnaces, retrofits, upgrades, and full lifecycle service and maintenance on various industrial equipment.

Your role will involve welding and joining pipes and related components, employing welding techniques to fuse pipes securely, maintaining structural integrity and leak-free connections. You will also install, align, and secure pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes. Additionally, you will accurately measure, cut, and thread pipes using various cutting tools and machinery, interpreting blueprints and layout plans to determine pipe configurations, ensuring proper alignment and fitting. Maintenance and repair work on existing piping systems will also be part of your responsibilities.

Travel requirement is up to 80%. You should be able to interpret and execute drawings and blueprints, use mathematics to lay out angles, arcs, and circles, and have skill in any of the accepted trade methods and techniques. You should also be able to test systems and equipment after completing work for proper circulation, flow, pressure, and leak-free joints.
