Advanced Technician/MechanicThe Advanced Technician/Mechanic position requires experience and technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while using leadership and mentoring skills in driving a team toward increased customer care and satisfaction. Sign-on bonus of $2,000 (for first-time hires) Pay Range: $22.90 - $48.16. Our technicians enjoy a performance-based compensation model known as flat-rate pay. This system rewards our skilled professionals with a predetermined amount for each eligible task, fostering a culture of quality and efficiency and swift task accomplishment, ensuring you're fairly rewarded for your expertise and dedication. The rates shown reflect earning potential within this region and may be lower or higher based on available work, individual productivity, and experience. All employees receive pay that meets or exceeds the applicable minimum wage requirements.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systemsAdequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individualsStay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal trainingAssist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activitiesOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsReading, writing and math skillsMust have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehiclesMust have a minimum 5 years of automotive repair experience, completion of Vocational-Technical School program in a related field or demonstrated skills via third party certificates/assessmentA.S.E. certification in at least 5 (five) of A1-A8 (L1 can be one of the five) is required.
