Job Overview GCC Technologies is looking for a Senior FOIA Specialist to support a large FOIA contract supporting the Department of Veteran Affairs. This is for a pending proposal and position availability is contingent upon contract award. The contract offers both onsite and remote flexibility and will support the Washington DC office. Location: DC | Availability: Contingent | Date Posted: 3/12/2026 | Salary: $0.00‑$0.00 (pending contract award). Responsibilities Meets or exceeds all Journeyman FOIA Contractor KSAs. Minimum of three (3) years of FOIA request processing within the last 48 months. Expert application of FOIA exemptions, DOJ guidance, and FOIA legislation. Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and guide staff to correct processing discrepancies. Ability to perform thorough reviews and identify potential harm to ensure accurate and compliant releases. Strong analytical and communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration. Serves as a role model by upholding VA values and promoting high standards of performance. Comprehensive knowledge of DOJ reporting requirements and proper submission procedures. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. 3 years of FOIA processing experience within the last 48 months. Additional FOIA experience may substitute for formal FOIA training or degree. Additional Requirements English Language Requirement: All personnel must read, write, and speak English fluently and effectively communicate orally via telephone and MS Teams, as well as via email.
