Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist Tech with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a night shift travel assignment in Hawaii, supporting adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations.

Details

• Hospital-based respiratory therapy setting
• Cares for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• Performs continuous airway management, ventilator and non-invasive ventilator (NIV) management, physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care
• Equipment includes PB 980, PB 840, and V60 ventilators, Para Pac transport vent, Pyxis medication management, and computerized charting
• Night shift: 1830–0700
• Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 15-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Experience with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations required
• State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License required by start of assignment (license required if applicable)
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS
• RRT preferred
• NRP preferred
• No first-time travelers will be considered for this position

Additional Information

• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of the assignment; this appointment will be scheduled at the facility's Employee Health department
• Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before their Monday start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
• Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved medical or religious exemption is required prior to contract start; flu vaccination may be administered at the Employee Health clearance appointment
• COVID-19 vaccination is required
