Quality Inspector II

Responsibilities Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to detailed work instructions, blueprints, and quality control plans. Utilize various measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications and tolerances. Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, including identifying non-conformances and generating detailed reports. Initiate and participate in the disposition of non-conforming materials or products, collaborating with production and engineering teams. Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and calibrate measurement equipment as required. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors as needed. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to quality control processes. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred. 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or electronics environment. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Proficient in the use of various precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gauges, etc.). Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., IPC standards, ISO 9001). Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting findings and collaborating with teams. Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and quality management software. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
