About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab RN Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 15:30 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years of similar Cath Lab procedures and 1 year of Cath Lab travel experience License: Kentucky Rad Tech licensure required Certifications: BLS, ACLS for Cath Lab RNs and Techs; valid ARRT and RCIS certification for Techs Must-Have: Must have 2 years of relevant experience in Cath Lab procedures. All RNs and Techs must possess the required certifications. Techs must have Cath Lab specific experience. Description: The role involves working in a specialized cardiac catheterization lab. The unit includes a team of four personnel for one patient. Equipment utilized includes GE Cath Lab equipment, IVUS, and VOLCANO. Documentation is managed through a Merge-Cath Lab Application and Meditech. Staff members are required to participate in on-call duties, including one weekend per month and 1-2 days per week. Floating may occur within the Cath Lab and stress test units. Procedures performed include diagnostic and interventional cath lab work such as left heart caths, right heart caths, transesophageal echocardiograms, cardioversions, pacer implants, defibrillator implants, tilt tests, and stress tests. Dress code consists of solid color scrubs. New state-of-the-art Cath Lab was established in March 2023 featuring brand new EP equipment.
